They say that getting a dog is a lifetime commitment. You should be ready to make the necessary changes to your life and theirs for you to be able to live happily together. Most of the time, dogs and owners get along. But in this case, it just wasn’t working out.

This doggo was surrendered to the shelter with a note saying “We’ve decided to surrender Brutus. His behavior is uncontrollable and we do not feel safe in the house with him. We don’t take this decision lightly,but last night was awful and we cannot do this any longer.”

According to Lee Asher, Hooch’s (Formerly called “Brutus) rescuer, he was expecting the most aggressive dog he’s ever encountered. But upon entering the room, Hooch just calmly walks up to Lee and then rolls over for a belly rub. 

There was an instant connection between the two and they became inseparable. Lee promised he wasn’t going to bring Hooch home,but he did.

Hooch now lives with the rest of Lee’s rescue and is living the best life he can live.
