Alligators are polite creatures with manners, and if you don’t believe us, just look at this gator using a crosswalk. That’s right, an alligator in the Murrells Inlet area of South Carolina decided to cross the road.
Rather than just saunter across to the other side, he used the actual crosswalk to go from point A to point B. Even more amazing: this isn’t the first time it’s happened!
A guy decided to shoot some video of the huge reptile crossing. Austin Bond told 10 News, “It’s amazing how often the alligators use the crosswalks when crossing!”
When Bond posted the video from Huntington Beach State Park, folks were amazed. The video has over 43,000 views and counting.
When South Carolina State Parks posted the video to Facebook, they wrote, “We teach our alligators to use crosswalks.”
If you are wondering how to tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile, it’s simple. An alligator will “see you later” but a crocodile is “after while.”
