A suspicious bag left on the ground in front of a church in Butler County, Ohio caused major concerns. These days, people have no idea what might be lurking inside. CNN reported that a bomb squad was called to the area to determine if the bag presented a threat to the community at large. After determining the contents of the bag, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook with an update.
“When Specialist Mike Grimes and Det. Detherage arrived, they didn’t hear ticking,” they wrote, “they heard purring!”
Inside the bag was a mama cat and her six one-day-old little kittens. A note was left with the animals which said the cat, named Sprinkles, had gone into labor the day before. Sadly, someone just left them all alone at the church without knowing what might happen to them. Fortunately, the cat and her newborn babies were saved by the right people at the right time.
The Animal Friends Humane Society reported the mama is doing a great job nursing her kittens, as she received vaccines and blood tests. She is in good health, and all seven felines will be placed with a foster family. The shelter plans to provide updates regularly so their followers can watch the kittens grow.
