Separation anxiety is something that affects millions of dogs. In severe cases, dogs will shake, become destructive, or bark when left alone. Joule the rescue dog is one such example.

When Brenna Eckert adopted Joule from the shelter four years ago, the pooch came with a lot of anxiety issues. She was clingy and never wanted to be alone.

Not long after the dog was adopted, Eckert brought home an orange tabby kitten she named Kelvin. It was love at first sight for the dog and cat.

When Eckert went to work one day, she checked in on her home security cameras and could not believe her eyes. The cat snuggles the dog!

She told The Dodo, “I moved the camera to get a closer view of the couch and was amazed to see that they weren’t just sharing the couch, but they were snuggling up against each other.”

She admits it happens all day every day for eight hours at a time when the pets are home alone. Over on her Instagram account, it’s all the feels with the cat who helps calm a nervous dog. See for yourself in the video below.
