Nothing on this planet brings such joy as do a pile of baby animals. Suppose those baby animals are puppies and suppose they were brought to visit children with illnesses. That’s exactly what the folks at Pile of Puppies did when they stopped by the house of a young lady affected by cancer. Cuteness overload alert: We are going hardcore with puppy cuteness here, folks.
Lilly is a beautiful 10-year-old girl who’s afflicted with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Her mom reports that she has been undergoing chemotherapy but has remained a trooper despite going through so many things. She has learned the resilience of people and also a side of people she grew cynical toward and says so many folks have stepped up to help.
Lilly basks in the joy of the puppies as she is snuggled by them, cuddled by them, and she gets to hold and pet them. Pile of Puppies founder created this organization because she knows what it is like to be a child and deal with health issues.
Lily is such a smart girl. She says, “Your brain decides to make things a lot scarier than it really is.” She also says that good things come to an end, but so do bad things.
