A deceased dog was discovered in a plastic crate that was dumped in the woods off of Kates Blvd in Millville, New Jersey.

The dog was wearing a sweater, collar and leash, and the crate was lined with two pieces of fabric that was seemingly used for bedding.

The dog is a Brindle Pit Bull mix in poor condition who is believed to have been between six and nine months old.

It is unknown whether the dog was dead before he was dumped, or if he was dumped while he was still alive and ended up dying in the woods.

Police are now asking the public for help determining who may have abandoned the dog or who previously owned him.
