When a northern Virginia puppy mill was raided, they seized 132 dogs from the property, including Noisette the Boston Terrier. The little dog was so infested with fleas, she tested positive for anemia from the blood loss.
It took a while for the timid pooch to trust, as she never had proper socialization nor was she housebroken.
Thanks to Anne Wuhrer, the woman in charge of Dogs XL Rescue, little Noisette slowly emerged from her shell. Wuhrer and her husband, along with their two Pit Bull mixes, gave Noisette the courage needed to trust for the first time in her life.
As Wuhrer let her video roll, her husband laid on the floor waiting for Noisette. They hoped she would snuggle up with him, thus showing her not all people are bad.
With a little trepidation, the once petrified dog slowly crept up on the man. He lay still, waiting for Noisette to make the first move. Once she did, a truly beautiful moment occurred.
