When Woodstock Farm Sanctuary learned about the cruel abuse of a flock of ducks, they knew they had to step in. These malnourished ducks were hoarded in cases, without access to enough food or water.

The rescuers managed to get these ducks out of captivity, but they never expected them to be so oblivious to the pleasures of their natural habitat. The sanctuary workers planned to nurse the ducks back to health before introducing them to the other animals.

The sanctuary workers believed that the ducks would instantly take to the waters once they see a real lake. But they were so wrong. The ducks panicked at the sight of the huge body of water, something that was completely out of their imagination.

In this video, we see the nervous ducks running away at the sight of water. After much coaxing, they finally get into the water, but make a run for the dry land soon as they feel unsafe in the unknown territory.

The workers literally have to toss the ducks in the water one by one. Soon, one of the ducks gets a hang of the swimming experience. Before we know it, the ducks are seen splashing around with joy, as they finally embrace their true habitat!
