Three fishermen who were going about their business off the coast of Labrador, Canada, made a startling discovery. As they were moving along, they noticed something atop a small iceberg. They assumed it was a baby seal, but the closer they got, they realized it was something else entirely.
Shivering on the iceberg, and afraid of the predator birds above, stood an Arctic Fox. He was likely out for a meal and got stuck on the iceberg. The kind fishermen pulled their boat up alongside him, tried to coax him in, but he was afraid. Eventually, the fox was captured in their dipnet.
They scooped him up and made a little area for him to curl up on the boat. He refused food for several hours and finally munched on some Vienna sausages. Once on dry land, the fox was released back into the wild.
He did give one last look at the fisherman who saved his life. You can watch for the moment he looks back as if to say he is grateful for them in this video and his story plays out below.
