A tiny dog with an indomitable spirit is looking for a forever home. Though this sounds like millions of animals sitting in shelters every day, this little pooch has a mighty lesson that comes with her.
Flummadiddle is an 18-month-old Shih Tzu mixed breed that was born without front legs. Flum’s foster family says the breeder didn’t know what to do with her, so Umbrella of Hope Rescue Group took her in. The Pittsburgh-based group helps aging, disabled, and shy animals that are generally difficult to place.
“Flummadiddle, she’s around animals all day, every day, that have 4 legs and she doesn’t notice…they don’t notice,” foster mom Elea Sutter shared.
Although she is small in stature and missing her front legs, that doesn’t slow her down one bit. “Flummy” uses a wheelchair to get around and doesn’t seem to notice she is different.
The rescue group hopes to place her with a human that has a “limb difference” so the two can bond. If you or someone you know might be a good fit for this adorable pup, contact Umbrella of Hope by visiting www.beourpet.org.
