Lions are creatures that represent majesty, leadership, and power. Humans, on the other hand, don’t always measure up to the same set of standards. Consider the case of this tourist who decided to go on a South African tour and pet a lion. Read that again: He tried to pet a lion. This can’t end well for anyone, folks.
This pack of tourists didn’t think too clearly when they cozied up next to a pride of lions. Lions will seek shade from vehicles in the Serengeti region when they cannot find trees to rest and cool off. This is the first part of this “What were they thinking?” scenario (the humans, not the lions).
As the male tourist is seen looking at the lion, a woman tries to actually pet the lion’s back. The lion roared back and just missed grabbing hold of this foolish human.
Animals of all shapes and sizes deserve respect, so when the tour guide tells you not to pet the lions, humans must heed that advice. Watch the incident unfold into what could have been a nightmare!
