A family was taking a walk around a bridge in Christiansburg, Moye, when they stumbled upon a sealed, moving box. They opened the box and were shocked to find 9 starving and dehydrated puppies. The poor pups kept looking around for their mama, but they were clearly abandoned without her.
The puppies seemed just hours away from death when the family contacted a local rescue called “Pawsitive Warriors Rescue of New Carlisle”. The rescuers arrived and showed the puppies some much needed love. The puppies finally felt safe and embraced their rescuers!
On their way to the shelter, the scared babies refused to let go of their angelic rescuers. They were taken to the vet’s for a thorough check-up. After heavy dehydration, the puppies perked up as soon as they were hooked up to IV fluids!
The puppies are recovering now, and will be up for adoption within a week. However, this small-time shelter has been facing a strain on their resources as they already have 30 other puppies to care for, and all of them were saved from kill-lists.
The shelter has pleaded with the public to donate to their cause in this time of need. Any loving donation of puppy pads, puppy chow and the like can be dropped off at 1883 North Dayton Lakeview Road, New Carlisle. Let’s get this message out and help them get all the help that they need. Pass on these puppies’ story and help them find homes!
