A tiny puppy was found thrown out like trash on a wet blanket near the park and was rushed to the Sacramento SPCA immediately. The poor little thing was abandoned because he’s a little different; something’s wrong with part of his brain, a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. But he would go on to find a family to love him exactly the way he is. 🙂

Petey’s rescuers refused to give up on him. With physical therapy and a lot of love, he came a long way. He can now eat by himself and play like a normal pup.

But none of Petey’s problems ever mattered to his new parents. They’re as happy as can be with their new pup and providing him with everything he needs to live the perfect life! They just can’t believe someone didn’t want the sweet boy. But it’s as they say — one man’s “trash” is another man’s treasure.

Cerebellar Hypoplasia Pup

Our puppy found in the rain came in for a check up yesterday. He is still wobbly and showing neurological signs, leading us to believe he may have cerebellar hypoplasia (often found in cats/kittens). He will remain in foster care for a few more weeks while we get him large enough for neuter, then we will work on finding him a special home!
