Villalobos Rescue Center (as seen on the hit show Pit Bulls & Parolees) sent rescuers to take a look at a stray in very bad shape. They were told to get there as soon as possible, so they knew it had to be bad. The Pit Bull had swollen legs and was covered in old bite marks and new bite marks. But the sweet boy couldn’t stop wagging his tail!

The dog was either mauled by another animal or used for dog fighting. He was emaciated and could hardly stand on his own. Rescuers could smell the infection, so they loaded him up to get him looked at as soon as possible. He wagged his tail the entire time, so they named him Mr. Wags! 🙂

Just when they thought they’d seen the extent of Mr. Wags’ problems, they took a look inside of his mouth. They had no idea what they were even seeing at first. “In my thirty years of doing rescue, I have never seen anything like that,” Tia Torres said. It turned out that the dog’s canine tooth had been pulled out and twisted to where the entire root was exposed.

After just a week at the vet, Mr. Wags is in much better condition! He loves everyone he meets and just wants to play. And yes, he’s still wagging that tail! The only thing he needs now is a forever home. 🙂
