We all know that service dogs have been massive game changers in keeping people safe.

But, do you ever wonder how they know what to do?

This video will answer your question, or at least some of it.

Meet Korey, the diabetic alert dog. Dog’s noses are much more powerful than ours, so they can tell if there’s a change in our hormones. Here you’ll see how his mom trains him to respond correctly when he can detect that she has low blood sugar.

The mom used a shirt that she wore back when she had low blood sugar and put it under her current sweater. Korey immediately went to boop her multiple times to alert her and even brought her the juice that she needed.

Dogs, time and time again, prove that they are simply too good for us.
