Some people don’t deserve to own dogs, and Robert Henry Reynolds, Jr. is one of them. The 37-year-old man was arrested in Severn, Maryland on animal abuse charges.

It all started when police responded to the home of Reynolds after receiving an animal abuse complaint. Once inside the home, investigators watched a video that clearly depicted the abuse of a six-month-old Doberman Pinscher.

The dog, who goes by the name “Bucko,” was repeatedly struck by Reynolds and then thrown down a flight of stairs. The animal was taken from the property and treated at a local veterinary clinic. As of this writing, he is being monitored but in good condition.

At the time of the arrest, Animal Care and Control also removed two other dogs and one cat. Those pets received medical evaluations and are currently in protective custody.

The charges against Reynolds include animal cruelty and mutilation of an animal. More details can be seen in the video below.

We are grateful the Doberman puppy is okay and the other animals were removed from his care.
