Rocco, an African Grey parrot, used to reside at the National Animal Welfare Trust sanctuary in Berkshire, but often upset visitors with his foul mouth.

Luckily, he found a new home with sanctuary worker Marion Wischnewski, but it still seems like he’s up to no good.

Rocco has become well acquainted with Alexa, the virtual assistant for Amazon Echo. While his human is at work, Rocco spends the day talking with Alexa, but has recently began ordering things from her.

He has started a virtual shopping list where he tells Alexa to order all of his favorite foods including fruits and vegetables and even ice cream!

Whenever Marion gets home, she has to check the shopping list and cancel the things he has ordered.

In addition to asking for food, Rocco has also learned how to ask Alexa to play his favorite music. Oftentimes, Marion comes home to Rocco jamming out to some Kings of Leon!

African Grey parrots are one of the most intelligent birds ever studied and have an incredible ability to imitate speech, which definitely explains Rocco’s talkative personality!
