Deuce the puppy is missing his two front legs, but he doesn’t know it.

He still manages to get around on his own and plays with other dogs as if he were one of them. Since he hops around, he wears a sweater to protect his chest.

Deuce’s previous owners brought him to a Texas shelter to be euthanized, just because he was missing his legs. They didn’t want to give him a chance, but luckily he was rescued by the Evergreen Animal Protective League.

Melissa and Ken Rogers, founders of Colorado Comfort Canines, decided to open their arms and their home to Deuce and adopt him!

The Rogers already have a ten-year-old dog, named KanDu, who is missing his front paws.

“Most often, dogs like these don’t make it out of wherever they were born. They just get put down, they get ignored and they don’t get adopted,” Rogers said.

Thankfully there were plenty of people who were willing to give Deuce a chance. He quickly proved to them that it was worth it, and he has not only fit right into his new home, but he’s thriving.

He has also since got fitted with a custom wheelchair!
