Yoga is a wonderful form of exercise and relaxation to balance the body and mind. Yoga is also evolving to include animals during sessions for the benefit of participants and their overall experience.

For example, in Indianapolis, Indiana there are many different yoga studios that use animals in the exercises and movements. Yoga with goats is one fun way to channel the day’s stresses away. You can bend, twist, inhale and exhale, right alongside goats who will possibly bleat in your ear or climb on your back.

Another form of human-animal bonding takes place at a studio with rabbits. The adoptable bunnies help attendees get into positions like the reverse warrior pose. Not only are there bunnies, but there is also beer available at this studio.

If rabbits aren’t your thing, consider a yoga class with alpacas. This one takes place outside for obvious reasons and involve being with and around the beautiful creatures.

We can’t forget about dogs when discussing a human-animal yoga class. A downward dog pose is the perfect position when puppies are a part of the class. The puppies are all up for adoption at some locations and at the end, everyone has doughnuts.

These classes are designed to get more people involved and creating a peaceful atmosphere for everyone in attendance. It sure sounds like a good time to us!
